The Hellenic European Leadership Council is pleased to announce the launch of our 2022 Young Leaders Programme (YLP). This year’s cohort will participate in a series of online and in-person practical seminars and debates with leading experts in the following sectors: Government, Finance, Foreign Affairs, European Institutions, Human and Community Rights, and International Organisations.
The aim is to offer participants unique networking opportunities, ranging from engagement with successful professionals and elected officials to in-person discussions at the centres of government and diplomacy in the UK and beyond.
The Council has secured 15 scholarships and is therefore in a position to offer this exclusive programme for free to the right candidates. Applications will be considered as they are received, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.
Programme Aims
The aim of the inaugural Young Leaders Programme (YLP) of the Hellenic European Leadership Council (HELC) is to support and accelerate the professional development of a selected group of Greek (Greece, Cyprus, and the diaspora) students studying abroad in fields related to the broader area of International studies.
Programme Content
The candidates are offered a number of practical seminars delivered by prominent professionals across multiple potential career paths, including Government, Administration, Political Campaigning, Trade Diplomacy, International Organisations, Academia, and Political Journalism.
Through these seminars, our presenters share experiences and provide insights about how to launch and advance a successful career in their respective fields. The seminars are also complemented by access to the broader membership of HELC, aiming to provide longer term mentorship and opportunities for networking between the Young Leaders and the HELC community.
Long Term Vision
In the longer run, we will establish YLP as a leading programme for International and Political sciences students in the Greek community in Europe.
The Inaugural YLP was successfully launched in July 2021. Graduates of the 2021 YLP were offered a number of practical seminars delivered by prominent professionals across multiple potential career paths, including Government, Administration, Political Campaigning, Trade Diplomacy, International Organisations, Academia, and Political Journalism.
